Warhammer 40K Crusade Summer Camp - Registration (Aug 17-21)
After their success last summer, we are excited to bring back our Warhammer Summer Camps at Taps Games. We will be changing the format slightly this year to accommodate returning attendees and to support the growth of a community for our younger players. As a result, we will be running Warhammer 40k focused camps. We will be offering ticket options for new and existing players and will have options for participating in one or both weeks. Both camps will provide participants with the opportunity to explore the hobby of Warhammer under the tutelage of local hobby experts with decades worth of experience. Participants can expect to spend half of their days painting models and half of their days playing games which allows them to end the camps with confidence in all aspects of the hobby. Open to children ages 10-17.
Crusade Camp (August 17-21) $300 per person, 16 spots available - 9am - 4pm (Drop off as early as 8:30am and pick up by 4:30pm. Bagged lunches required
This camp will expand on the skills that are learned during the Introductory Camp. Participants will grow their armies through the addition of new units (included in the registration cost). They will also receive advanced instruction to introduce them to new ideas and techniques for building models as well as in depth conversations about tactics when playing games of Warhammer.
In addition to the instruction, participants will take part in an immersive narrative campaign in which they will create a new character for their army and watch their armies grow and develop new skills (and battle scars) as the story progresses.
Players are expected to have at least 1500 points for their army to participate in this camp.

o Filling gaps on models
o Customizing your models
· New ideas for painting such as:
o Mixing paint and colour theory
o What is blending and why do we do it?
o Different techniques for shading and highlighting
o Adding weathering and texture to your models
· How do you build a list for a game of Warhammer?
o What are different list archetypes?
o Building lists for the missions
o Optimizing units
· Tactics in Warhammer
o Understanding the role of the different units in your Codex
o What are screens?
o Using terrain to your advantage
o Planning ahead in games
