Mercenary's Star by William H. Keith, Jr. is the second novel in the Saga of the Gray Death Legion. It was first published in print by FASA in August 1987 and later republished by Roc Books in November 1992 and by Catalyst Game Labs as a BattleTech Legends title in August 2016.
An unabridged audio book edition, narrated by Tren Sparks, was released on 12 February 2021.
The book narrates the newly minted mercenary command's first contract, supporting a struggling rebellion on the planet Verthandi.
